The Match Flag Workshop was held in Shimotori Arcade ‘EGG’
Thanks to the staffs in Shimotori Arcade and Contemporary Art Museum Kumamoto, we were able to make many match flags for the 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers (JAPAN vs. Afghanistan /JAPAN vs.Syria) coming up in March.
The ‘Kumamoto Castle Marathon 2016’ was also held in Kumamoto city on the same day, so many people who came to see the marathon joined the workshop and we were also interviewed by a local TV crew.
Children including girls belonging to a football team also joined the workshop and they seemed to have a lot of fun. Since more than expected number of people came, Katsuhiko Hibino, the Project Director, had to design additional flags for them to color.
It seemed that the flags with the Kumamoto local motif especially made the participants interested in the flags and understand the meaning of ASIA DAIHYO.
Thank you for all the staffs and attendees!
